Student-Led Learning: The path towards voice, choice, and agency

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

It's time--time to trek that path that leads us to a classroom that emphasizes student voice, allows for them to have choice, and gives them agency. In this session, I'll share actual examples of how I took my blended classroom and created an environment that did just that. I'll discuss ideas for how to implement student-led assessments like podcasts, videos, newsletters, websites, and more with your elementary and secondary students that include student choice for different learning styles. I'll provide specific tech tools as examples of choice that students can use collaboratively or individually to create products that let them shine. The best part? I'll also show you how you can maximize your time in the classroom to allow you to build relationships and manage progress efficiently and effectively while they do it. You'll leave with a ton of resources that you can learn from, use, and replicate so that you can get started!
